Magson Marine built Titan 300 EC catches one of the biggest tunas ever

The owners of Jackhammer gave me a call last week and said we need to plan a trip to the deep as they had not been out since last year before lockdown.

We fueled up the Magson Marine built Titan 300 EC and left early on Sunday morning. Conditions were beautiful, allowing us to run at 38 knots.

The day started off very slow but we stuck it out. Finally we were rewarded with a fish of a lifetime – a 146.7kg Bigeye Tuna.

This fish is definitely in the top 3 biggest caught off a recreational boat.
