We offer skipper courses for under and over 9m boats. All skipper tickets SAMSA approved.
Course Content
The course is practically orientated and very interesting. Your SAMSA skipper license is recognised internationally and valid for life. Looking forward to meet you at the course!
Day 1 — Lectures
Legal Requirements, Seamanship, Motors, Safety and Emergencies, Rule of the Road and Distress Signals, Weather / Marine Environment, First Aid, Navigation and Chart work. Emphasis will also be put on the criteria of how to go about buying a good boat!
Day 2 — Theoretical test plus Course evaluation.
Practical component – directly after the test.
Candidate guided until satisfactory level of boat handling achieved.

The above cost include: Course material, Lecture, Meal, Theoretical test, SADSAA fees and Practical component. There are no other costs involved (except: in the event that we need to supply a boat and skipper a fee of R150 is applicable).
In order to register for the course, a deposit of R500.00 is required.
